The purpose of this track is two-fold - one angle helps you to understand the advantages of Drupal from an organizational leadership angle and the other is to highlight the great Drupal sites and projects you're working on and to show what's possible. These sessions are business focused, and will be non-technical.

Buy-in is the New Consensus

On how many projects have you spun your wheels trying to reach consensus among a large group of stakeholders with diverging needs and wants?

Consensus building is a conflict-resolution process used to settle disputes. On a Drupal project, I prefer a less adversarial approach. I want to get buy-in for mutual gain. With stakeholders ranging from senior management to team leaders to technical gurus, each having differing visions as to how to proceed on a project, how do we get the best  ideas from everyone and build buy-in across the board?

Deliver Faster with Agile

In this session we'll do a walk-through of the Agile life cycle to get your deliverables out the door quicker and more efficiently. We'll cover tools & techniques for success at each stage of the Agile project as well as a review of real-life challenges and how to overcome them. You'll walk away with a framework for getting started with your own Agile project and tips to keep your Agile team on track.

Surviving Life as a Remote Web Worker

No one wants to admit it, but working remote is hard. You have to collaborate with people you might never meet over a spotty VPN connection with the added (often self-imposed) pressure of having non-stop productive days. ALL this while chasing the work-life balance unicorn. It's not easy, but it is doable. In this session, you'll learn how to play up your personal strengths to go the distance in a non-traditional work setup. We'll also cover tips and techniques to get the most out of working remote and how to avoid common pitfalls like the "freshman 40".

Integrating Your Technical and Communications Teams

Very often, digital teams work in two or three strongly-defined silos. There is a content team and a development team, and sometimes there is a design team that works between those two groups. Little conversation happens between those groups, and they often work towards the finish line of a project with an unproductive and unhealthy animosity towards each other, all while playing tug-of-war with the designers that must support both teams.
