Session Track:

Business and Strategy

The purpose of this track is two-fold - one angle helps you to understand the advantages of Drupal from an organizational leadership angle and the other is to highlight the great Drupal sites and projects you're working on and to show what's possible. These sessions are business focused, and will be non-technical.

As professionals in the digital marketing industry we know the importance that data plays in better understanding our users and their behavior. Data can be used to help make organizational decisions, drive site architecture design, and define site improvements. Add to the mix the high probability of having to measure business objectives and you may be asking yourself, “Where do I even start?”

In this session we’ll walk through why you create measurable goals, demonstrate discovery methods to confirm they are tangible, and what software tools you can use to gather data to assist in this process. Additionally, we’ll discuss types of user insights, validating observations, and how to align this data to business objectives and user needs.

In our discussion we’ll cover concepts and methods that can make your user experience process successful -- including:

  • How to define and measure metrics before, and after, any site changes
  • Demonstrating how you can quantitatively measure a qualitative experience
  • Creating a distinction between attitudinal & behavioral research
  • What tools gather which data
