Drupal as a Tool for Civic Engagement and Community Problem Solving

Presenters: stpaultim

Drupal has a rich heritage as a tool for social action and civic change. More recently, Drupal has been adopted by governments from around the world to distribute content, share data, and deliver services. However, our government interactions with Drupal need not be one way. How can governments and NGO’s use Drupal to engage citizens, collect data, and empower communities to solve problems at a local and international scale.

Let’s take a look at some of the modules and distributions that NGOs and governmental agencies can use to engage with the public and discuss a few case studies that demonstrate how this happens.
