The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (also known as MWAA) operates a two-airport system (The Dulles International and The Ronald Regan Airports), the Dulles Toll Road, an 8 Lane, 14 Mile highway in Northern Virginia and the new Silver Line which is already operational with 4 new Metro Stations.
With eKuber Ventures help, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) is driving to implementing a New & Responsive Open Source Public Website and Enterprise Content Management System (CMS) on Drupal Platform integrated with a 360 degree Panoramic Way-finder technology.
In Dec 2014, eKuber Ventures was awarded a task order to implement MWAA's Public Internet Presence using Drupal with Responsive Design for Web and Mobile Platforms. The goals were to 1) Manage Cost to Realize Operational Efficiencies, 2) Grow Revenue to keep MWAA Competitive, 3) Create Customer Satisfaction for all MWAA Stakeholders and 4) Foster Employee Engagement as Employer of Choice
Using Agile/SCRUM methdology eKuber Ventures is rolling out the project in several phases. In the first phase of the project go-live, the scope included architecting, designing and implementing the MWAA.com website on the Drupal Platform, incorporating eight different MWAA websites into one consolidated website. The scope of the work includes cloud based, responsive design powered by Drupal Content Management System and Portal implementation, integrated with state of the art 360 degree Panoramic Wayfindiner technology, involving architecture design, requirements gathering and analysis, development of taxonomy, visual design, wireframes and internal processes/workflows, development and configuration of Drupal modules and custom code, testing, training, communication, change management within a 6 month timeframe. This session will present tools and technologies used, challenges, risks and mitigation strategies for Nations most significant Airports System.
