Even for Drupal veterans, Drupal 8 development can be challenging to learn. We’ll begin by covering all the basics to get you started on writing D8 modules, then we’ll walk through a working module, and finally invite you to code a module along with us. By the end of this session you’ll know how to quickly spin up a D8 environment, know what’s new if you’re coming over from Drupal 7 (a lot!), and you’ll sample the basics of Drupal 8 coding including YAML, routing, controllers, folder structures, and unit testing.
