From Content Management System to Health Information System?

Drupal started as “a small news site with a web board,” but has become a platform for “ambitious digital experiences.” One very ambitious digital experience would be contributing to a country’s health information system (HIS). John Snow, Incorporated (JSI) has been developing, deploying, and managing HIS around the United States and number countries across the globe for two decades. In this talk, we will present common features of HIS and discuss if Drupal has these features, and, if so, how stable they are. We will also discuss in which contexts it would or would not make sense to use Drupal to support HIS.
