About the Event

Drupal GovCon is the highly anticipated annual conference organized by Drupal4Gov for the DC/MD/VA Drupal community and wider Drupal government community. We bring together people from all over the country who use, develop, design, and support the Drupal platform with a focus on government. We come together every year to learn, improve, and innovate as a community. The conference offers a unique platform for learning, networking, and collaboration, with a focus on empowering government agencies to leverage Drupal's capabilities effectively. Although there is a focus on government, there is also a heavy representation of attendees from the private, non-profit, and education sectors as well.

A Message from Our Board

Whoever thought that an idea brainstormed under an escalator at DrupalCon Chicago 2011 would become the 3rd largest annual Drupal conference globally, 2nd largest Drupal conference in North America, and THE largest Government focused Drupal camp in the world?! We certainly didn’t! Over a decade later, and we’re still shocked at how far we’ve come and the trials and tribulations we’ve endured. We’re looking at you COVID!

So here we are for our 14th in person Drupal GovCon. We’ve changed a bit over the years with a new look, location, and leadership but our mission remains the same: we connect and serve all levels of government employees committed to open source technology by providing educational opportunities that intersect nonprofits, educational organizations, labor unions, Drupal shops, and contracting agencies together in a supportive and inclusive environment. We value creating a community that fosters collaboration and shared knowledge around open-source technology.
