“Agile Product Managers are not Project Managers” is a well-known truth in agile project management. However, project managers have many skills that can transfer into the product management role. In this session, I will explain how project managers can retrain themselves to become effective product managers for agile project management (with an emphasis on the Scrum methodology). Specifically:
- What is the role of the product manager and how is it similar and different from project management?
- How project managers have an advantage in dealing with stakeholders.
- What project managers need to UNLEARN to be effective product managers.
